May 2026 will go down in the history of Uzbekistan's foreign trade as the month of a major capital "thaw." If you work with large volumes, this post is for you.
At ANTRIA GROUP, we have analyzed Decree No. 250 and identified 3 key levers that we have already implemented for our clients:
1. Pay for the shipment, not for the promise
With periodic declaration, you no longer need to prepay the entire volume. From May 1, you pay only for the shipment that actually crosses the border.
Result: Working capital stays in your business instead of being "frozen" in customs accounts.
2. 20% discount on fees and 14 days of "free money"
If we file the declaration before the cargo arrives (preliminary declaration), the customs fee automatically drops by 20%.
Need a deferment? For the first 14 days, no interest is charged on installment payments. This is effectively an interest-free short-term loan from the state.
3. Goodbye to "surprises": a 3-month moratorium
The most important thing for planning: any new customs ban or restriction must now be published in the "Single Window" system at least 3 months before it takes effect.
Result: At ANTRIA, we guarantee our clients no sudden cargo stoppages due to new regulations.
Starting in May, a "paper-free day" practice is being introduced — a complete shift to digital on certain days of the week. Our IT infrastructure is already synchronized with customs APIs, so for ANTRIA clients, this transition will go unnoticed.
Mastery is knowing the law before it comes into force. Update is implementing it first.
