Recently, SkyGuard operated a special charter cargo flight on the Al Ain – Shymkent – Nukus route to deliver 893 rare houbara bustards, a species listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan.

The project was carried out at the request of the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Falcon Hunting Solutions LLC.

After arrival, the birds were released on the Ustyurt Plateau in the Kungrad district of Karakalpakstan.

Initiatives like this require not only environmental expertise, but also flawless logistics coordination: compliance with international requirements, special conditions for transporting live animals, and precise coordination between all participants in the supply chain.

Every year, under the international CITES convention, between 2,000 and 3,000 houbara bustards are planned to be released in Karakalpakstan to preserve and restore the population of this rare species.

Projects like this remind us that logistics is not only about cargo and routes. Sometimes, it is also a contribution to preserving natural heritage for future generations.
When logistics becomes part of a greater mission!
